Start with your symptoms, not a package

Bali Belly is a familiar travel term, rather than a diagnosis. An upset stomach after a meal can have different causes, and similar symptoms do not mean that everyone needs the same treatment. When you contact us, describe when the problem started, whether you have been vomiting, whether you can drink and whether anyone travelling with you is also unwell. Include any medicines you have already taken. Those details help the medical team decide whether a villa visit is appropriate or whether you need a clinic or hospital instead.

What the published Bali Belly packages contain

The Bali Belly package lists 500 ml of IV fluids, a stomach protector, pain medication, anti-nausea ondansetron, B vitamins and oral medication. The Mega Bali Belly lists 1000 ml, with vitamin C and biotin among its published contents. The package name is a way to compare the menu, not a prescription. Your clinical assessment determines suitable fluids and medicines. A larger bag is not automatically the right choice, and a request for a package does not mean every listed ingredient will be appropriate for you.

Hydration support and realistic expectations

A clinician may consider IV fluids when dehydration or difficulty tolerating oral fluids makes them appropriate. Fluids do not identify the cause of food poisoning, eliminate every stomach infection or guarantee an immediate recovery. If you can drink, ask the clinician whether oral rehydration is sufficient. Tell the team about continued fluid losses and any change in your symptoms. The aim of the conversation is to choose suitable care, rather than to promise that an infusion will make you ready for an excursion or a flight at a fixed time.

Arrange a visit without leaving your accommodation

Provide your villa or hotel name, a map pin, room number and a contact number that works in Bali. Reception may need to approve access before your visit. After your visit is confirmed, estimated nurse arrival is 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic, location and nurse availability. Canggu, Seminyak, Uluwatu, Ubud, Kuta and Sanur are among the areas where you can request service. Ask for the actual arrival estimate for your address before making plans; the quoted travel window is separate from the time needed for assessment and treatment.

Know the price before you confirm

Bali Belly costs IDR 1,500,000 per person and The Mega Bali Belly costs IDR 2,000,000. Optional add-ons are separate and require assessment. Transport is free in Canggu, Kerobokan, Cemagi, Seseh and Seminyak; other addresses require a transport quote. If several guests are ill, explain each person’s symptoms separately and request a clear total for the group. Keep your agreed treatment and transport breakdown so you can compare it with the booking request. Selecting more ingredients should never replace discussing what the patient actually needs.

Medical checks during your villa visit

Our service uses licensed nurses with STR/SIP credentials and BPOM-registered medicines. Before agreeing to treatment, tell the team about allergies, pregnancy, existing conditions and current medication. Ask what each proposed medicine is for, what risks apply and how to report a problem. You should understand the proposed care before consenting. Keep enough space for the nurse to work in a clean, comfortable room and have someone nearby if you feel weak. A mobile appointment must still allow a proper clinical conversation, even when you want relief quickly.

When to seek urgent care instead

Severe abdominal pain, blood in the stool, fainting, confusion or worsening illness need prompt medical evaluation. Do not wait for a mobile infusion if you are seriously unwell. A fever may also need investigation rather than being labelled food poisoning. Tell the team if dengue is suspected or has been diagnosed. A wellness drip cannot replace the monitoring and treatment that dengue may require. After any visit, ask whom to contact if symptoms continue, and follow the clinician’s advice about follow-up rather than relying on a package description.
